the old man's battle with killer wasps
the day before while my dad was cleaning the windows of my parents' bedroom.. he discovered something tht would have gone unnoticed had he not been thorough with his cleaning. yes we were spring cleaning. yes it's at a weird time. no we don't want our luck to be washed off (which wld have explained why i lost at mahjong just now. and yes i've learnt to play) just that things were kinda hectic and all. anyways so while he was cleaning one of the windows closer to the edge of the block, this wasp comes flying at him, aggressive and all! thinking nothing of it.. my dad just used his old dirty cleaning rag and swipe at it.. off it flew.. then came another 2 trying to attack my dad as they were defending *gasp* their net which was lodged between the last window and the slight ledge jutting out of the edge. (if u get what i'm saying.. if u don't just know that it was wedge between something...)
anyways.. then my dad saw their nest... not a big one but a pretty small one. a nest nonetheless... one which they wld kill my dad for. then my mom got panicked... and started like wailing away.. okie maybe not wail but u know the kinda sounds that moms make when they are worried abt something or when their child is in mortal danger? yah that kinda panicked sounds. ask me to quickly shut all the windows...which i wld have gotten stung if i made like super sudden movements whilst they were all hovering just outside the windows. even tho i can't see their faces (not that i want to) i can pretty much imagine their little black faces curled up with devious glee, just waiting to sting the hell out of one of us. (esp the squealing old lady)
so how we got rid of them, or rather the old brave man (my dad) was that he kept spraying pesticide (i shall refrain from using insecticide cos even tho they are insects, PESTS wld be the more apt name here) they were all groggy from the amt of pesticide my dad sprayed. and then he violently removed the nest with a stick with a metal bit end. i kinda felt a bit sad abt the nest lah.. i mean they have young and all.. i wld be FURIOUS if someone was to use a metal ended stick and stab my young and then dislodge it by flinging it 2m away and letting it drop 4 floors down. which is why i think my mom has to watch it cos i'm pretty sure the wasps wld be coming back for revenge.
well i think it was a pretty neat experience altho i wld have preferred a less violent end for the nest and the wasps.. oh yah.. one of them did come back to look for the nest.. like 3 times man! i tell u those little pests are like fucking smart lah! i really think they got plenty of courage and a whole lot of brains sia... if only i didn't hate insects.. i might have tried to save them from my old man!(the colour combi of the wasps were these 2 colours... damm dangerous lah)
i realised that it's quite a long blog but considering how i haven't blogged for a while.. it's alright lah..and i'm sure most of u know naruto is now licensed.. by some gay-ass american company.. which has made me upset. argh! hate them stupid coporations... fucked up!
